| Life is good. I'm learning so much here in Tulsa. I'm learning how to teach literacy and ESL, but I'm learning so much more about the Lord! It's great to feel that I'm where I am supposed to be, and I can't wait to get out there onto the mission field! That call gets stronger every day, and I'm so excited to see what God has planned for my future!
I'm staying here in a dormitory setting. It is a nice community atmosphere. Everyone chips in with the cleaning and cooking; it has made us feel more like a family. I'm meeting some wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ from so many places. It has been great to hear how God is working in the hearts of His people all over the world! This weekend is the halfway point. I've been here for three weeks and will be going home three weeks from now. I miss home, but our time here is rushing past very quickly and I'm really enjoying it. There's so much more to learn. I can't wait!

| I bought a fish. I think his name should be Harry...because it would be funny to see a hairy fish. he is a brown and blue betta fish and I love him even though he smells fishy. | | |
| ok...time for an update. ...What? It's only been 9 months... well...yeah. So... the big news...(which you probably know)... I'm engaged! It's pretty awesome. Bradley and I plan to get married next summer on June 7th. We got engaged on Dec. 21...it was so romantic! (give me a call if you want all the mushy details of his proposal) Now we're just cruisin along. We have been together for about a year and a half. I just graduated Saturday with a degree in Spanish and English...well...a degree in spanglish at least. He is entering nursing school in the fall and will graduate as an RN in May 2009. Yeah...he's a younger man. Well, my plan now that school is over (woohoo!!!) is to go to Tulsa. I will be training with a ministry called Literacy and Evangelism International (LEI). They send teachers around the world to teach people to read (that would be the literacy part) so that they can read the bible (that's the evangelism part). They also teach English as a Second Language which is what I will probably be doing. This summer I will learn how to teach literacy and ESL using their materials. I'll be gone for about six weeks this summer, and then I'll start raising money to go to Latin America with LEI in the fall. Hopefully everything will work well. I feel a little clueless at this point, but I figure life will happen and, ready or not, I'll jump right into it. Brad and I will eventually be missionaries together...he'll be a nurse and I'll be teaching English or something. We're both excited about our life together. I'm still trying to figure out how to plan a wedding. Any advice? I feel like I've been handed a delicious-looking hamburger, but when I try to take a bite, it's too big to bite into, so I just sit thinking about how it will be. I can't figure out how to get started on this stuff. Well I did buy 75 yards of toulle... haha! Life is in front of me. It's time to dig in! | | |
| sandwiches are so diverse! They're just like people!

I would be classic, but fun...like...

what kind of sandwich would you be?
| I love fireworks! This 4th was really great. I got to eat home-made ice cream AND watermelon! woohoo!
There's a fly on my computer screen...
I've been very busy since school let out with a hectic and short-lived job at the nuclear plant. All that has finally wrapped up now and I'm looking at a lot of free time til August.
I went to the zoo this weekend for the first time since...preschool! It was really neato! I especially liked the primates and the birds. I've decided that if I were an animal, I would be a cool bird...like a flamingo!
The fly is still there...
he's annoying me...
I'm gonna go kill the fly...
...SMACK!...
ok, where was I? The zoo, yes. I took my lovely boyfriend to the zoo and to a Traveler's baseball game in Little Rock. We had a really awesome time! I even drove in town without a hitch...turns out I have a pretty good sense of direction! who knew?
well, It's bedtime, folks. Goodnight!
